In May 2015, Helen Bent became the first Head of Ministerial Training for the Royal School of Church Music in partnership with Praxis. This new role builds on her previous ten year’s experience as Bishop’s Adviser in Music and Worship for the Diocese of Sheffield. Helen was ordained in 1998 in Norwich Diocese. She is a gifted educator with degrees in both Music and Theology. She has a good understanding of worship across the Anglican traditions and styles as both a musician and a priest as well as many years experience in teaching and training. Helen is a member of GROW, the Group for Renewal of Worship, and a member of the national team for LyCiG, Leading Your Church into Growth. She regularly writes creative liturgy resources and contributes to church newspapers and magazines.
Liz Tipple is a worship leader, teacher and professional violinist, playing periodically with the All Souls Orchestra. She is an external examiner in GCSE music. Having trained at The Royal Academy of Music and Birmingham University, she later studied Spirituality, Music and Worship at Cliff College. Liz has worked for many years in the area of Christian music and worship leading, leading seminars, workshops and other musical events throughout the region. She is an active and experienced practitioner, rooted in the local church, working with often limited resources to create uplifting and inspiring worship.
